Obituary of Jack George Kelly

KELLY, Jack George (Happy Jack) With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Happy Jack on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Idlewyld Manor in his 83rd year. Dear husband of Margaret for 61 years. Father of Dave (Sandi), Darrell (Cathy) and Randy (Carol). Grandfather of Melissa, Tanya, Andrew, Venessa, Lesley, Zach, Amanda, Dan, Derek, Tim and Megan. Great-grandfather of Hailey and Preston. Brother-in-law of Diane and Ken Adams and Jean Eckford. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Will be missed by family friend Irene Aitken. Predeceased by his brothers Chuck and Joe Kelly, Bob Barclay and his sister Paulina. Jack loved his work as a caretaker at Eastdale Public School for over 25 years and Copps Coliseum for 19 years. We are extremely grateful to the incredible staff at Idlewyld Manor. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 1-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. There will be a private family service.
