I am so sorry to hear of Reg's passing. I knew him at work with the City of Burlington and he was such a wonderful kind person and lovely to chat with. Take care with your memories of Reg. Thinking of all his family during this difficult time.

To all the Bainbridges, my heart aches. My "sergeant". I have not seen you in so many years but I remember the BBQs in Milgrove, and my house. I remember the nights by the fire in the wee hours of the morning when everything was quiet. I remember the deep talks. I remember that you taught my sons chess. You were an extended father to them. You were a friend, comrade, and a brother. I will miss you dearly.

Having run the Battle of Longwoods memorial year after year Reg would always support it with his usual smile and friendly composure. He will be missed in the hobby and in life, Thanks Reg for all that you did for us and the hobby.

Reg was a great friend. He helped welcome me into the community of War of 1812 reenactors. I have so many wonderful memories of adventures with the 89th, and our brave and steady sergeant. My career as a reenactor evolved and I eventually left the 89th, but my friendship with the Reg remained as strong as ever. Seeing him in the breakfast line, or at my sutlery never failed to brighten my day. My heart goes out to Pat, Bruce, and all of his other family members- you are all in my prayers.

If you needed a friendly smile Reg was the man to go at events. Kind, friendly, often quiet. Will miss seeing him at re-enacting events. My condolences to all his friends and family.

My friend Reggie filled my memory bank with so many files about trains, stars, and battles. Witnessed many over the years and never saw a more determined warrior defending his country as Sargent Bainbridge.
Learned more about stars than any book ever taught me.
Went to the train store with him in the pouring rain to get the latest magazine about trains. He checked all the engines out and explained in detail the differences between a SD 40 and the SD 40 dash 2 when I asked. The dash 2 had two cooling fans and ditch lights which I still look for when I see a train go by. I will miss the stories as only he could tell.
To Patricia and her family my sincere condolences for their loss of the family patriarch.

Reg is one of the nicest, most likeable guys you will ever meet. The City of Burlington and all his coworkers were lucky to have him as a loyal and dedicated employee for decades. I was lucky to have Reg as a friend. Reg, Derek and my work lunch walks were spent solving world and City issues, while sharing stories and laughs. Reg made sure we continued our lunches long after all of our retirements from the City. This is a testament to how much we enjoyed each other's company and valued the friendship. We plan to continue the lunches, Reg, although it won't be the same without you. The beer and wings won't taste as good and the conversations won't be as entertaining but we will smile at the great memories. Never to be forgotten, your friends, Greg and Karen General

We have lost a wonderful brother who was so loved. He will be sorely missed. Reg dearly loved his family and this photo taken of the siblings at a recent family wedding speaks to that love. Rest easy Reg.

I remember my first night with the battlefield house guard, I knew no one and was nervous, about joining. Then Bruce walked up to me and started talking to me, I explained that I was nervous. Bruce said to me, why nervous? I will be doing something I enjoy and have a passion for. And anyways I am not the only one nervous, he was as well. I will miss the chats by the fire, and the fun. A great man will be greatly missed by all. Now Sargent it is time to go and command a greater battalion.
