We are very saddened to read of Alba's passing. We missed our visits with her once she fully retired. Occasionally touched base through texts afterwards. She would always spoil our son, Kyle, when he went for his hair cuts. His favorite times were spent exploring her garden afterwards. My husband, Kevin B, was friend's with Dean starting in grade 8 & he extends heartfelt condolences to Alba's family & friends. Her love of her family shone through in every visit.

My heart is heavy upon learning that one of the most wonderful women I’ve ever met has left us. While condolence messages always speak to what a great friend and neighbor and how kind, loving, and special those who leave us are, Alba Deboni was all those things and more. She was truly the most extraordinary woman I was blessed to have ever known, her love and generosity knew no bounds, much like her holiday dinners. I still find myself occasionally pronouncing the word “something” as she did when she’d often ask if she could fix me “sonething” with an “n”. She was hands down the best lasagne maker and I will continue to smile with every story I recall as she provided many (intentional or not). She will forever be in my heart, as will her family during this saddening time. Tara Christine Doherty

I’m VERY saddened to learn this. Alba was a wonderful person & neighbour… She came to my Moms house down the road to style her hair, when Mom was sick… she will be sadly missed in the neighbourhood. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

To Madi, Cindy, Jackie and Dean and to Alba's Grandchildren We express our deepest sympathy. Alba has been my hair stylist for over 30 years. Back to her shop on Kenilworth avenue. Alba was a beautiful selfless person inside and out. My life has been so enriched by knowing Her. I will remember Her always with such fondness. God Bless. Karen Gallant and Peter Yonev.

My deepest sympathy to Alba’s entire family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Alba was a kind and wonderful neighbour to my Mom when she lived directly across on Weir Street. Mom loved that she could just “waltz across the street” as she would say to have her hair cut and styled at Alba’s salon. My dear Mom sadly passed in 2017 but now I know who will be keeping her beautiful in heaven. May all your beautiful memories of this lovely lady bring you comfort. Patti Zimmerman Hampton

To Cindy, Jackie, Madi, Dean and the entire family, we express our heartfelt sympathies to all of you in the loss of your dear mother, mother-in-law, Nonna, sister and aunt.
