I’ve just learned of Brian‘s passing and wanted to express my deepest condolences . I used to live next-door to Brian on Mountain Avenue when I was a little girl growing up in Stoney Creek. He and my mother (Brenda Boyce) had gone to Winona public school together. I fondly remember his warmth, kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. This world has lost one of the good ones ❤️.

Knew Brian from my days in high school in the Mid 60s yes even then he was a definite "Car Guy" He knew all the hot cars in Stoney Creek and had made friends with the owners many much older than himself. Remember many good times and co-ownership with him on a few cars. To his family know even then he was a thoughtful young man with a good heart.. May peace be with you. Old Friend David Fritch

Susan, Ryan, Kallie and Cassandra, I am so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. Brian...BL was an amazing guy and a long time friend.
When he moved to Lake Ave, in Stoney Creek in the mid 60ts, we first met waiting for the school bus. Right from the beginning, he made a lasting impression, talking non stop about motorcycles, cars...and girls, usually in that order.
I remember him buying his first car, a 1947 Ford if I recall. It sat in the driveway of his parents home on Lake Ave. for quite awhile as he was only 14 or 15 and didn't have his drivers license yet. Then one Saturday I called on him and his Dad came to the door, he was obviously angry, as apparently Brian had taken the Ford and left. I was driving by that time so I went looking for him and eventually found him driving around Hamilton with his latest girlfriend who happened to be 17. BL didn't want her to know he was only 15, so he told her he was 18 and had a car.
Over the years there were many stories, usually about cars or incidents in BL's life some quite humorous, he always had one he wanted to share. That's what we will all miss for sure.
My sincerest condolences to you and your families, I know he was dearly loved by you all.

It's never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, you're never really prepared to say those words and we certainly were not ready to say goodbye to you unkie B. You hold a special place in mine, and many others hearts. I'm going to miss your many stories, even though you told me them a million times, I wish I could have heard them a million more.
I'm to miss coming over and you showing me the funny videos you found online, or just coming over and knowing you were in the garage working on one of your many projects, but mostly I'm going to miss coming over and saying "Hi unkie B".
You are loved by many, you were the most caring and loving man and would do anything for anyone.
We are going to miss you beyond measure, you are safe with god now, and though we miss you down here I know you are being taken care of up in heaven, reunited with your loved ones, and Max.
Rest peacefully unkie B, we love you endlessly ❤️
Love, Dayna xo

My deepest sympathies to all the family, loved ones and friends of Brian. I used to baby sit all three of Brian’s and sue’s kids. He was always a treat to talk to I would go to Brain to talk about things I was not comfortable talking to my parents about I remember sitting on his picnic table in the back yard chatting for hours. As well he would never miss a beat when driving by our house as myself brother and parents lived 2 doors down from Brian and he always stopped cracked a joke and had us all in stitches. I will forever cherish every memory I have with Brian as there are many Rip my dear friend

Our deepest condolence to the family and friends who knew Brian. He will always be remembered as a great friend and neighbor and he was always there for us when in need. It didn't matter how busy he was he would stop what he was doing and chat. You will be sadly missed by your smile and waves whenever you passed by. Rest in peace Brian. Stewart Family.

Growing up with Cassie since middle school, if you were to ask our group of friends who our favourite dad is, the consensus would always be Brian. His selfless love, grace, humour and kindness he gave his children shine through in who they are as adults. Brian was someone that made you laugh and made you feel appreciated. As we got older the times I would see Brian were few and far between, however he would always take his time to check in on me, and of course bring up a ridiculous memory from my childhood to laugh about. That’s something I would appreciate more than he probably knew. He was always an angel, just one that spent some time on Earth to bless us with his presence. We all love you Brian, and we all love you Cassie, Kallie and Ryan. ❤️

I am still in a state of shock, after hearing this very sad news of Brians passing. I had just been talking to him on the phone about 2 weeks ago about cars, and the current market for street rods, he was very up beat. He will be missed greatly by all his many car buddies. I would like to post a photo of the last car I purchased from him, it was an awesome car as always. Condolences to all his family members. R.I.P. Brian

My condolences to Brian's family and friends. I'm haveing a problem putting together my thoughts on my old friend. He was one of a kind ; a deep thinker ; kind and funny and loved his family. He was heart broken when his dog died. My time with Brian was as a fellow hot rodder. He was a pleasure to be with and i will miss him always.

I grew up a few houses down from Brian and family and I would always hear the sound of engines revving from muscle cars or his drag car he had and I thank Brian for that as that is what got me into the automotive trade. He always had time to talk and teach. I called him the walking dictionary of mechanics because there was nothing he didn’t know. He was a great man. Always had a smile on his face and made you feel welcome. My thoughts are with the family.

As a childhood friend of both Kallie and Cassie, I spent a lot of time with Brian. One of my greatest memories is when Kallie and I were in middle school and were having a sleepover with a bunch of us girls. We wanted to pool our money to rent a limo to drive around the city for a few hours. Brian comes into the kitchen and of course Brian knew someone who could make this happen for just gas money. Doesn't Bri pick up the limo and chauffeur us all around Hamilton, loving every second of it, and loving, twice as much, that Kallie and her friends were having the time of their lives.
