Obituary of Lorna Ruth Freymond

July 24, 1933 – February 4, 2024

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die.”

It is with deep sadness that we said goodbye to an amazing Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John Andre Freymond.   Loving mother of Stephen (Yvette), and Ruth Anne (Andrew). Fondly remembered by her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Lorna was born in New Carlow, Ontario, daughter of the late William and Sadie Kuno.

Lorna loved people and people loved her!  Family, friends and strangers never left without being fed a meal or at least a cup of tea and a slice of freshly baked bread.

She had a strong faith and was dedicated to her church. She worked for Canada Post driving a rural mail route for many years, making even more friends.  In her later years she wrote a book, sharing her childhood memories so that her great-grandchildren would understand what her life was like.

Lorna will be missed by her many family members and friends.

Visitation to be held Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at the Sword Inn, Bancroft from 7-9 p.m., in the Meeting Room

Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 12^th, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, Maynooth at 11:00 a.m.  Light lunch to follow at Graphite Bible Camp

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Hospital would be appreciated.
