Dennis Masakazu Nishizaki Obituary

It is with tremendous sadness that our family announces the passing of Dennis Masakazu Nishizaki at St Joseph’s Hospital. Dennis fought a valiant battle against cancer but ultimately lost his fight due to complications from pneumonia. In his 78th year, Dennis leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Diane (nee Izumi), treasured son Brett (Laura Kotar), cherished daughter Kimiye (Scott Cowx) and adored grandchildren, Noah, Selby, Augusta and MacKenzie. Dennis will also be missed by sister-in-law Janet Izumi (Keith Mochizuki), nephews Jon Mochizuki (Rachel Lai), Evan Mochizuki (Kim Mendham), great-nephew Sam, great-niece Ana and many cousins and friends.

Dennis was a long-time golf and curling member of Glendale Golf and Country Club where he made wonderful lifelong friends. He was an avid footfall fan and once a mighty 5’2” football player himself. Most recently, Dennis received his greatest joy from watching his grandchildren participate in their respective sports and activities. He also enjoyed cooking, gardening and doting on Diane.
