Obituary of Michele Elizabeth Hay
HAY, Michele Elizabeth
September 1, 1960-November 21,2012
Leaving us far too soon, with the same energetic strength and dedication that she lived by, we are profoundly saddened to announce Michele's passing on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice with her loving family by her side. Michele will be forever missed by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 30 years, Douglas. Her most prized accomplishments were her children Brittany (Christopher) Stenhouse and Bradley Hay, and her faithful four legged friend Bailey, who never wanted to leave her side. Michele will be remembered for her compassionate heart, witty and outrageous sense of humour. Michele is survived by her mother Elizabeth (Joe) Teixeira, brother Rick (Gina) Mann, nephew Rob Mann and nieces Liana Mann (Joey) and Stephanie Mann. Predeceased by her father James Mann (2012) and father-in-law Bernard Hay (2001). Michele leaves behind her cherished mother-in-law Dorothy Hay, her devoted brothers and sisters-in-law, Laurie (Marisa) Hay, Kevin (Kim) Hay, and Drs. Russell and Marcia Hay-McCutcheon. Michele was a proud aunt to Sara Hay (Saud), Andrea (Jeremy) Mosher, Stephanie Hay (Travis) and Leanne Hay (Max), along with many aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention but just as important, whom she treasured very much. We wish to thank so many friends for their continued love and support, and to all the "Chippawa" girls, Nancy Clark and Scott Llewellyn who continued the fight alongside Michele with their prayers and kind words and who never gave up hope for her recovery. We would also like to express our sincerest thanks to Dr. Dhesy and the Oncology team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital from the support staff and dedicated and caring nurses and doctors for their compassion and expert care. Thank you to the CCAC and especially St. Joseph's Home Care nurses, Wendy and Jan. Your support, friendship, love and care were endless. Also, a very special thank you to the entire staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. As per Michele's request, cremation and a private family service have taken place. In Michele's memory, a donation to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
