The picture in the paper was just how I remembered Michele, a big smile on her face. We used to work together at CGL (insurance) back in the '80's and we played ball together on the Black Widows. There was a lot of partying back in the days before we had children and Michele and Doug were right in the middle of all the fun. I remember 26 years ago I brought my infant son out to Michele's and we compared notes on motherhood. I could see she was a great mom and I was happy to get pointers from her. We lost touch but I know if we had of run into each other it would be like no time had ever passed. So I am sad that I will not have the opportunity to run into her again. You will all miss her so much. My condolences.

Doug, Brittany, and Brad,
You guys are always in my thoughts-especially right now. Michele, or "One L Michele" as I call her, was truly a blessing on my life. I enjoying getting to know her and she took me in as one of her own. I am deeply saddened by her passing, but I am glad to know that she will always have an eye on me. Thank you for sharing her with me. I love you all.

Dear Doug, Brittany and Brad: There are no words that can possibly express my sincere sadness over Michele's passing. Michele was the most kind, caring and generous person I have ever met and I feel truely blessed that she was my friend. I am sad that she will never get to meet my son like she had hoped. I can only hope that I will be as good a mother to my son as Michele was to Brad and Brittany. Michele always told me how you two were her pride and joy and Doug, the love of her life. At least now, Michele will not have to suffer any further pain. My heart is with you.

I have many great memories of the Hay Family from my days at Tapleytown School. Michele was always the first parent to sign up to help at school activities whether it was driving students for sporting events, snow day fan-out alerts, or selling those chocolate covered almonds. She never was without a smile on her face.
To.. Doug, Stephanie and Brad my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

When I think of Michele it brings a smile to my face. We had a lot of fun times. We spent our teen years together. To Elizabeth I say I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. I treasure all of the memories I have of you and your family and spending time at your house. I never really knew Doug or her children but I know she loved them dearly. We reconnected a little bit recently by email, she always 'spoke' so proudly of her family. Sorry to all for your loss, she was a great gal!

From: Karen “Willy” Wilson, To my very cherished friend “Squeaky”. You made me laugh from the very first day I met you at work, then such a delightful friendship continued with our love of baseball being the champion Black Widows where you even welcomed the entire baseball team to stay at your house in Chippawa! Over the years, you remained such a true friend while always energized and devoted to your family. Just a phone call away and it was like no time had passed. I will always remember such a dedicated, strong, forever loving mother and wife and always such a wonderful true friend. To Doug and Brittney and Bradley and families, my heartfelt thoughts to all of you. Love Karen Wilson, Hamilton

Words cannot express how sorry we were to hear of Michele's passing. I know the last time I spoke with Michele she could not say enough about how wonderful and supportive you were during her time of need...you were her rock...it is rare to find a love like the two of you had...hold on to that.
Brittany and Brad: She was a proud momma...I could tell that every time she talked about the two of you. We are so very sorry you lost your mom so early in life...but you now have a guardian angel to watch over you both. Please take some comfort knowing her dad will be there in heaven to welcome her in his loving arms. We love you guys very much and we are here for you if you need us. Love always Jacques and Brenda.
