Obituary of Joseph Robert "Bob" Crosthwaite

Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2023 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Frances. Dearly loved Father of Sue and her husband Dan Godin, Daniel and his wife Aïda, and Donna. Cherished Grandfather of Katie, Ben, James, Danielle, William, Christian and his great-grandchildren.

Bob started his career as a carpenter and enjoyed a long career in education. He was a woodshop teacher, technical director and a teacher of teachers for woodshop. He retired from teaching at Burlington Central High School. Bob enjoyed spending winters golfing in Florida and summers in the sun at Sauble Beach. He will be missed by his family, friends and former students.

Thank you to the staff at St. Peters for the care and understanding. Thank you to Dr. Phan. Cremation has taken place. A visitation is arranged for Thursday September 7, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek.

A memorial tree at the Royal Botanical Gardens Arboretum, close to his wife’s tree, will be set up in the near future. In his memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
