Husband, father and cherished friend to many. Whatever the issue or problem that required mending, Jake was always available to lend a helping hand. Self taught in many areas, he was a passionate and talented musician and a perfectionist in the trades. We will miss the sound of your laugh, that twinkle in your eye and your trademark moustache. You will always be June’s handsome Italian boyfriend. God speed. Hugs, Mo (Maureen)

Dear June and Family:
My deepest sympathies on the loss of Jake. I feel privileged to have met him through regular yearly get- togethers with Maureen and John Forbes. Always an interesting person! He and June had great stories from their travels across the USA and Canada. They even came to see me in Chicago once. We had a blast.
Please be assured of my continued prayers. I was praying for Jake way back when he recovered from cancer a few years ago. I continued to pray for him and June as they faced recent cancer scares. Those daily texts were meant to keep them going.
I will miss Jake.
But June, I will remain in contact.
Love you both!
Rev. Paul Sims, C.R., Ph.D., Chicago, Illinois

Sorry to hear of Jake's passing. We had some good memories together back in the day's. Whether it be through baseball, fishing up at Mike's, occasional golf, & hanging out together with everyone. Jake was always competitive. So sad to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences.

June, the love affair that you and Jake had was magical, partly because we rarely see it in real life. It was a fairytale romance, the kind we only read about in novels and see on the big screen. Your love and deep respect for each other was an inspiration to us all. Sad it is no more. But for those of us fortunate to have witnessed it firsthand, it will live in our hearts and memories forever.

Heartfelt condolences to June and family. It was my privilege to know and play with Jake. He always encouraged the band to keep moving ahead and learn new songs, many of them challenging, especially Supertramp;
Goodbye stranger it's been nice
Hope you find your paradise
Tried to see your point of view
Hope your dreams will all come true
Love,
Cath <3

Jake, you will be missed by everyone for so many reasons. I will miss sur cheffing for June when we were making our Saturday night dinners for, you. I will miss how we teased June and it always ended up with June saying “you guys are picking on me”, of course it was done with love, fun and laughter in mind. I will miss hearing about your and June’s different adventures. Talking and watching any and all sports with you. I have so many thoughts in my mind, I can't put them into words. You are June's Sunshine. We will take care of her for you. With all my love Kate.

My deepest condolences to Family & Friends. R.I.P. Gerrard Keller. We were friends since the 70's, we lost touch here and there over the years but whenever we ran into each other it was like no time had passed. We would reminisce and had some good belly laughs. You will be missed Jake Keller

Our hearts go out to Jakes family . We have known Jake most of our lives on Beach Blvd and though we haven’t seen as much of him in the last few years we remember him with love. Jake would pop by on his bike out of the blue just to say hi it was always great to see him still smiling . Paul & Joanne Davis

I met Jake on my first day on the job at Nalco Canada in Burlington in January 1990. We've been great friends ever since. It's because of him I met my beautiful wife Maureen, who was a close friend of June. June played matchmaker, and it worked.
I remember all of the great times Maureen and myself had with Jake and June. All of the classic rock concerts we attended together over the past 25 years at various locations in Ontario. I never met anyone with a greater knowledge of music than Jake.
Jake and myself went to many Blue Jays games together over the years and his knowledge of baseball was equal to his knowledge of music.
The four of us had untold number of great dinner parties together and we'd laugh, eat, and have a few drinks. I will cherish those memories forever.
For over 33 years Jake and myself shared many ups and downs in life (mostly ups), but he was always there for me through thick and thin. We will miss him terribly.
We love you Jake.

A dear man who lit up every room he walked in with positivity and kindness. Always smiling with his trademark moustache, Jake was a special figure in our family’s life for many years.
My personal favourite memory of Jake bestowing his ‘glass half full’ motto: we arrived for another cottage weekend where June and Jake would join us (which we always loved, June’s cooking and Jake’s laugh). Before they arrived, I drop my brand new iPhone in the bottom of the lake 8’ down while loading the boat at the marina. My dad, my brother, my husband all told me I was out of luck! It’s too deep, too dark and there was no chance we’d ever find the phone. I sure felt defeated.
A few hours later my dad Al hopped in the boat to pick up their best friends June and Jake. As soon as they arrived and we all had a chance to relax on the deck to chat the story came out. Jake’s immediate response, “Rach don’t worry we’ll find it. I guarantee you, we’ll bring it back!”
Jake, the only one to give me hope! Shortly thereafter they had a quest. The men all hopped in the boat to head back to the marina to search for my iPhone (all thanks to Jake).
An hour later they returned, WITH MY LONG LOST PHONE in hand. It was Jake’s strategy that helped my retrieve the phone. I used that phone for years after.
Jake always brought a great attitude towards everything, one of the reasons I’m sure, why my parents Al and Sandra loved both June and Jake to bits. My heart breaks for Jake’s family, his beautiful wife June, and my parents who lost their best friend.
We’ll miss the cottage weekends, new year’s eves, and dinners with Jake, but we promise to take care of June in your departure.
Until next time, big hugs.

My “Uncle Daddy” was one of my best friends, he was just a good man, through and through…I will smile EVERYTIME I think of him. All we ever did was laugh when we were together.
