I can only imagine that Pat’s lovely, smiling face is now lighting up heaven as she’s greeted by all the people who loved her that have passed on. There is Scottish Country Dance music playing in the background. Bobby Brown on accordion and the dancers are waiting for her to Don her ghillies and join them for the welcome dance. John Middleton introduces her and begins the brief as they all fall into lines ready to begin. I remember how welcoming Pat was when I was up there to do my finals for my teaching certification. She, along with Ian were wonderful hosts and helped us all feel welcomed into the fold of the very supportive family of dancers from that area. I cannot think of Pat without remember how warm, caring and modest she was. I was very saddened to hear of her health struggles the past ten years and pray she is now whole and shining her special light in heaven. My sympathy goes out to Ian, her children and the rest of her family and friends who stood by her, true and steadfast these past , difficult years. May you all find peace and remember her with the good memories you have of her. I feel lucky to have known her, even as briefly as that was.
