Obituary of Linda Anker

With heavy hearts, we announce her passing,  after the most courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Juravinski Hospital, at the age of 69.

Mom embraced cancer with the most positive outlook. Always determined to keep moving forward, never letting anything negative in. She was the only person I've ever met to be excited for chemo, stating it was $*@#%*@ wonderful every single time. She is reunited with her dearly missed  husband Tony (2018). She leaves behind her cherished daughters Jen and the most loved son-in-law Jamie Marshall, and Dagny, who meant the absolute world to her.

She was aunt to Melissa (Jeremy), Shawna, Jeremy, and Ashlee (Robbie). Survived by sister-in-law Renee (Jimmy Finton), brother-in-law Kenny Gardiner, and her cousins Bobby, Danny and Dianne. Predeceased by her sister Brenda (2017).

We will remember mom for her cooking and baking worthy of a Michelin Star, for always making the most magical Christmas mornings, for talking for hours with anyone she ran in to, and her zest for life that MS had robbed her of for a period of time. Mom was proud to get her motorcycle licence at the age of 40 and loved to drive her Harley Davidson, with the biggest of smiles, while going for rides with dad all of the time.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital, and to the PSW's that would visit her at home and help her to be more comfortable.

Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held. In Linda's memory, donations to the MS Society would be appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
