Jen and Dagny,
I am very sorry for your loss. I know to the very core of my being that both of your parents were and are so utterly and completely proud of you. There is surely no greater accomplishment or joy for a parent than to see their daughters flourish and blossom into such bright, brave (and usually hilarious) young women. You are both a testament to their love and hard work.
I was trying to think of my very favourite Linda memory - was it the pickled Japanese plums? The hot tea? The FedExed soup? I realized in all of them that the uniting thread was an indomitable spirit and boundless generosity, which is a trait that both of you have definitely inherited in spades. There is no better place than in your good graces and no more frightening a prospect than being in your bad books! I can think of no greater tribute to Linda than the positive and formidable force that each of you are in the world, and I am genuinely and eternally grateful to her for it.
I love you both, and if you need anything now or in future, I trust that the very first number you will dial will be mine.
