So many memories and so many good times with Jack and Mary. To Micheal and Lee Anne, our sincere condolences to both of you on the loss of your father. He was always a 'real gentleman'. I have known Jack for 50 years. I first met him when I was hired as a cadet with the Saltfleet Police Department. Jack was my first Sergeant. After almalgamation, we crossed paths once again when I was tranfered to Stoney Creek and he was my Sergeant once again. When Jack retired from the Service, I was honoured to take his position.
Jack and Mary always had the coffee pot on at the house, and we shared so many stories together. I also had the pleasure of going on a few fishing trips with Jack. My most memorable being the fly-in to Chapleau in Northern Ontario. I'll never forget it. As
we were approaching Collingwood on Georgian Bay, Jack, without any previous notification, said to me, 'I want to catch up on my log-in book, so I want you to take the wheel'. I had never flown a plane before, but Jack, as calm and cool as he always was, said to me 'Relax, it's a piece of cake, I'll be watching you, so here's what you are going to do'. All I could think of was that Jack had a lot more faith in me than I did with myself. Jack guided me through the controls and by the time he was ready to take over, I had flown across Georgian Bay.
Michael and Lee Anne, you are in our thoughts and prayers. May love and peace surround you. Our friend Jack, a beatiful life, celebrated, honoured and remembered today and always.
Laurie & Dave Long.

My condolences to the family. I remember Jack as our Safety Patrol Officer when I was in the former Glover Road Public School. I was honoured to serve under him as Captain of our school patrol from 1957-58. Constable Wiebe was everything I thought a policeman should be. He was both professional and kindly with us. We sure appreciated the theatre tickets and year-end activity supervised by him. It was great to read about his rich and full life. He was a great role model to many of us.

I very fond memories of sitting around the table with Jack and Mary discussing politics. It was amazing as a teenager to be treated as an adult in these discussions They were instrumental in shaping my views. The other memory that comes to mind is when Mike and I were at school for a play rehearsal and Mary picked him up In a hurry. Jack was doing touch and go’s (I think London) and had forgotten to put his landing gear down. No harm done just a bruised ego and broken prop. He had a plaque made for the cockpit “. Landing gear down dummy”. Totally a class act. He will be missed. Our condolences Mike and Lee-Ann

I wish Jack blue skies and tail winds on his final journey. He was truly a scrupulously honest man and in every respect, a gentleman that I was honoured to have met.

My dad, Gord Osmond, and Jack worked together at the Saltfleet Township Police in the 60’s and 70’s. Jack’s plane building skills so inspired my dad that he went on and built his own plane from start to finish in our garage, with much appreciated help from Jack. Sincere condolences to the family.

Jack was one of my Sgt's at the old Kenilworth Police Station. We had numerous discussions about his plane-building expertise and his love of working with wood. I was amazed that he built and flew his own planes. After he retired, I visited him a couple of times and we reminisced about the "old" days. Jack was always approachable and helpful. He was a gentleman. My condolences to Jack's family and my prayers and thoughts go out to them. RIP Jack.
