Obituary of John Koudys

On Monday, May 16, 2022, John passed peacefully in his sleep at home, predeceased by his wife Jane, and survived by wife Irene.  Survived by his loving children - Kathy Koudys, Patty (Bill) Pangos and Jim (Luanna) Koudys.  Loving Grandpa to Michelle (Brad) Malton, Adam (Michelle) Cocks, Kayla Pangos, Kevin (Katie) Pangos, Patrick and Jacqueline Koudys.  Amazing Opa to 8 great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers Peter, Martin (Dian) and Bill (Marianne) Koudys, predeceased by siblings Albert, Nicholas, Nellie and Dorothy and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.  

John was an active member in the Winona Community - Stoney Creek Volunteer Firefighter, Winona Men’s club, Grimsby Curling Club and avid stamp collector. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Bayshore Home solutions especially Dad's caregiver Nasra who was there for his needs and became part of our family. Also thank you to VON nurses Karen and Suzanne for your excellent care of John. A graveside Funeral Service will be held at Fifty Church Cemetery on Wednesday, May 18th at 11 a.m. with Celebration of Life at the Powerhouse Restaurant, 21 Jones Street, Stoney Creek from 12 noon to 3 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the V.O.N. or the Winona Men's Club would be appreciated by the family.
