Obituary of Darlene Hardy
Darlene Hardy (nee Beatty) of Burlington, Ontario passed away peacefully with family by her side at Joseph Brant Hospital on February 3, 2022 in her 65th year.
Darlene was predeceased by her husband Colin Hardy and leaves behind daughters Melissa Angelini (Rob) and Melanie. Nana will be missed by her five grandchildren Antonia, Ashleigh, Agostino, Kristina and Nico.
A dear sister of David Beatty (Lucy), Paul Beatty (Lenke) and the late Linda Burrows (Ron) who Mom will be happy to see again in heaven along with her father Frederick and cherished mother Grace.
Darlene appreciated the many long-term friendships that kept her company and laughing over the years including her niece Stacy and friends Marlene, Marnie, Ursula, Cheryl, Shari and Luann.
A big thank you to the Halton Community Paramedics especially Heather who checked in on Mom often and even visited her in hospital to raise her spirits. And to all of the nurses and doctors at Joseph Brant for their care and support during this difficult time. Mom was truly a fighter.
Family will receive visitors at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, February 7th from 3-5 p.m. followed by Funeral Service. Due to limited space availability, visitors will be accepted by scheduled appointment only and are reminded that the wearing of mask while indoors in mandatory. Interment in Grafton to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the Hamilton SPCA.
