I have lost a great friend in Norma. She was an exceptional person. Her musical ability and her comeraderie I greatly admired. I’ve been hospitalized since December. Had I not been indisposed, I would most definitely have attended the funeral. I send my love and deepest condolences to Blair and the family.

Blair,
Jack and I just watched Norma's funeral and were very touched to hear the testimonies and memories of her life.
We were so grateful to have your friendship when we were new Christians more than thirty five years ago. You and Norma welcomed us to your home so many times for wonderful times of fellowship. We will remember Norma for her kindness and her sense of humour. Thank you Blair for being the very best husband to Norma - she loved you dearly.

Mr. Ridge (Farmer), Kevin, Scott & families;
I was so sorry to hear about your dear wife, mom & grandmother. Mrs. Ridge (Norma) was such a lovely lady. She was so patient & kind to all of us neighbourhood kids "back in the day" on Woodburn Road. She was always ready with a kind word, snacks and a sweet smile for us. So many fond memories of growing up next door to the Ridge family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Having grown up and been on Staff at Peoples Church Hamilton allowed me the privilege of knowing Norma. Those services came alive the moment she sat down and began to play that organ, which became but an expression of her deep love and worship of God. I so enjoyed listening to her teach the Bible, because for her it was all about Jesus and you came away knowing that she believed and lived what she taught - she knew Him personally and not just about Him. And then of course her laughter was infectious and so filled with joy and her wit not easily matched. As much as I miss the conversations we had as they really helped form some of my future decision making, I know for certain that she is enjoying seeing Jesus face to face. This is not good bye, rather but good night and a promise to see you again in that morning. Blair, Kevin and Scott you remain in my heart and in my prayers especially at this moment.
Sincerely,
Paul Evered

My sincere condolences on your loss. I worked with Norma for a number years at Richard Beasley School. Lots of good times were spent working on Christmas concerts. She was kind and well liked by the students. She was also instrumental in helping my daughter Katherine getting into teacher’ college and getting her first job teaching music. She will be sadly missed.
