Obituary of Helen Baird

The daughter of Edna and Richard Thompson. Helen's sun rose on Friday the 25th of March. At a very young age her and her family emigrated to England from South America where she attended and graduated from Battersea High School. From there she went to Italy to pursue her successful modelling career. On her return to England, she met her future husband (Ex) and best friend Deryck. Their union produced a daughter Tammi. The family emigrated to Canada where she went into the healthcare field. She was loving, caring, mischievous and artistic. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and creating many tasty dishes. She was a caring and sympathetic soul who would take friends in need and/or their children into her home and under her wing. Peacefully at home on Thursday the 20th of May 2021, Helen’s sun set. Cherished and beloved mother of Tammi. Devoted Nanny of Junior and Darion whom she is now cradling. Loving sister to Leslie, George, Anthony, Yvonne, Norma and Carol. Sister-in-law to Larry, Patrick and Trevor. Aunt to Cydnie, Cherie, Rianne, Travis, Brandy, Jessie, Rosie, Nikki, and Layla, Daren and his son Aaren. Lovingly remembered by Aunts Pauline and Stephanie, cousins Carla and Hugh. She was blessed with many friends. Gillian, Valerie, Elfrida, Pat, Steve, Rita, Gwen, Yvonne and Desmond are a few among many. Special thanks to RN Toni, PSW’s Rita, Darlene, Jeefna, and Martha. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. A private family Funeral Service will be live streamed on the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website  www.donaldvbrown.ca to register your attendance for services due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time.
