Obituary of Bob Dillman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob, peacefully at his home, at the age of 61 on April 23, 2021. Survived by his sisters, Dale, Debbie, and Franci (Andrew). Bobby has now joined his loving parents, Frances and Robert Dillman, in Heaven. He was Uncle Bobby to his adored nieces and nephews, Amanda (Glen), Krista (Kyle), Rachel (Garrett), Kehl (Jill), Venessa (Adam), Victoria (Travis) and Steven. Plus his bonus niece and nephews, David, Charlissa and Jason. He was Great Uncle Bobby to Jadyn, Kylie, Landon, Evelyn, Emily and Ella. Bob leaves behind many loyal and supportive longtime friends. While our hearts are heavy, we celebrate Bob’s amazing life with joy. He was a retired Dofasco (Arcelor Mittal) employee. Injured in a car accident in 1981, Bob lived his adult life as a paraplegic, which he approached with the highest optimism. He lent his time to mentoring and supporting those with spinal cord injuries. He participated in many relays in support of Spinal Cord Injury Ontario. Everyone’s favourite Uncle, Bob served as an inspiration to many.

All are invited to join a virtual (video) service Friday, April 30 at 3 p.m. on the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home Facebook Page.

If you would like to honour Bob’s life with a charitable donation, he was a supporter of Spinal Cord Injury Ontario for nearly 30 years. Donations can be made in his memory at sciontario.org/inmemory. Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
