Dale, Debbie and Franci, so sorry for your loss. After not having seen Bob since he helped Brian coach our girls' Tapleytown softball team, I was thrilled to have met up with him a couple of times in recent years. He hadn't changed at all! Still his warm, kind and fun-loving self he always was. Memory Eternal

Bob was truly wonderful guy and an inspirational figure for me as I went through my own physical rehabilitation following a spinal cord injury. Although I had not seen him in close to 35 years, I'm greatly saddened by his passing. My condolences to all.

To Dale and the Dillman family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I got to know him forty years ago through mutual friends, and when I met Dale years later, was so surprised to learn they were siblings. He had a quick wit, and was always such fun to be around. I know his loss is deeply felt by all. Sending sincere condolences.

My deepest condolences Dale, Debbie, Franci and all of the Dillman family. Bobby was one of my closest friends. I was lucky enough to have known him for the last 42 years. I remember our weekly dinners together and him picking flowers from your mom's garden to give me when I picked him up. We shared so many good times together whether it was our weekly trips to the Hunt Club when we would all meet or parties at someone's house ( usually Sam's). He was always there ready to have a good time. His unconditional love is what I will miss the most. I am deeply saddened and left with an emptiness. Bob was a true inspiration. I loved him so much. There is so much more I could say about him, but I am sure you already know. I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those who were lucky enough to call him friend. Love, Bernadette

To Bob’s family and friends:
I am very sorry for your loss. He was a great guy. I knew him to be kind, friendly, approachable, and easy-going. I met Bob after spinal cord injury in 1999. Bob was one of the first guys I met along the way who provided guidance and mentorship. I remember him being easy to talk to and he made me see the possibilities after spinal cord injury.
I have a lovely memory where Bob and I went for a drive in his red Monte Carlo SS. At the time, I was still at Chedoke and I had just learned to transfer from my wheelchair to a car and I was excited to be able to get into Bob’s car! I think I asked him a million questions about his hand controls:) I was new to Hamilton and he took me for a drive around the city. If memory serves, along the way he stopped in to pick up groceries from his mom and then on to a school where he picked up one of his nieces (sorry can’t recall which one)! All the while I got to witness this great guy who was just living his life. Bob may not have known this at the time, but this drive and many other encounters made a big impression on me. I feel very lucky to have him enter my life at a very difficult time.
Bob’s kindness and giving nature will be missed by me and the countless others he spent mentoring along the way.
Rest easy, Bob.

I was saddened to learn of Bob's passing. It has been a pleasure getting to know Bob as his family doctor and we shared many a good laugh. Bob did things his way and despite his physical limitations, never let that get him down. Rest in peace Bob and my condolences to his family whom I never had the fortune to meet.

I am stunned and saddened by Bobby's passing. I met Bobby in Grade 1. Truth be told, I had a huge kid crush on him then. We became fast friends again when we entered high school. Bobby was a wonderful, funny and sensitive human who was not shy about showing his love to his friends. And he had lots of friends. I often saw him at baseball games supporting Brian Muir's team, who were some mighty competition to our team. He was always bright and was still the Bobby that I knew and loved. He will be missed in this world, but Heaven is blessed to have him. My condolences to his family and friends, as losing Bobby is indeed an enormous loss. Rest in peace, my friend.
