Obituary of Thelma Irene Dakin

DAKIN, Thelma Irene (nee Dayler)

The daughters of Thelma are saddened to announce the passing of our mother on Friday, February 5, 2021.  Cherished mother of Maryann (Syd), predeceased by infant son Billy, Ishbel (Hugh), Ruth (Gerald) and Karen.  Mom was blessed with seven grandchildren; Patricia, Adam, Eric, Winston, Andrè, Joel and Victoria.  She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren; Josh, Alexis, Cole, Ella, Emmalie, Carter and Adan.  She is survived by her sister Bonnie Jones, brother-in-law Bill Arrowsmith, sisters-in-law Louise Dakin and Evelyn Temmerman.  Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in accordance with the Bereavement Authority of Ontario facial mask/coverings are required.  Please visit the Funeral Home website to register your attendance for services due to limited space availability.  Visitors will only be accepted by scheduled appointment and will be asked to wait in their vehicle until their allotted time. If you have not registered you will not be admitted.  A private family Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 and will be livestreamed on the Funeral Home Facebook page at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with private interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids would be greatly appreciated.  Notes of sympathy and condolence can be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
