Obituary of Brian Nash
NASH, Brian William
Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on November 20, 2019 of Stoney Creek, in his 82nd year. Dearly beloved husband of Claudette Milmine, married for 59 years. Dear father of Cheryl Nash and her husband Bob, Perth Ont., and John Nash and his wife Colleen, Stoney Creek. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Shari, Robin and Patrick. Brother of Lynn Nash, Campbell River, B.C. and Carole Perry, Burlington. Predeceased by sister, Sharyn. Brian’s roots in Stoney Creek run deep. He was the 6th generation to farm lands from a grant from Queen Victoria. Brian was Chair of Ontario Grape Marketing Board 1983-1989 during the tumultuous times of the first US-Canada Free Trade Agreement. In 1983 he was Hamilton-Wentworth Farmer of the Year and he is the only Canadian to be elected to the board of National Grape. The family is grateful for the care and support Brian received from all the staff at St. Peter’s and Amica Stoney Creek. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, November 27th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
