Obituary of Gordon A. Gerrard

GERRARD, Gordon A. Peacefully into the presence of his Lord and surrounded by his family at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Ada Gerrard for 62 years. Loved father of Rev. Dr .Doug and his wife Glendyne and their family Aaron and Shalene and their children Jaxton, Ryah and Brit, Karmyn and Brock, and Lauryl and Tyler and their children Emmalyne and Grayson. Don and his wife Debbie and their family Tom and Amber, Dave and Melissa and their son Benjamin, Matthew (Chip) and Alicia and their children Henry and Charlie. Brian and his wife Kelly and their family Philip, Carolyn and Graham. Dear brother of Ken and his wife Barbara and brother-in-law of Pete and predeceased by his sister Marjorie Stamler. Gord was a proud employee of Eaton’s of Canada for 34 years and a lifelong member of Delta Tabernacle and Paramount Drive Alliance Church. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, November 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family interment will take place Monday morning at Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. A Celebration of Gord’s life will be held at Paramount Drive Alliance Church (corner of Mud St. and Paramount Dr., Stoney Creek) on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception.
