I worked with Gord in the office as the Store Manager's secretary at Eaton's Eastgate from 1977 to 1981. He was so nice, and we often had good chats because I was another Christian in the office. He always made comments about my name since it was so similar to his daughter-in-law's name. Since then, we have occasionally bumped into each other in the grocery store in Burlington. When I saw the obituary in the Spectator, I wanted to send my condolences to all of the family. Your husband, dad, and grandfather was highly respected by all at Eaton's. I pray that you will be comforted at this difficult time.

Gord was such a nice, nice man. My Dad worked at Eatons as well so they probably knew each other. Gord was always cheerful, never heard him complain. We will miss him very much.

We have fond memories of Gord - doing things with excellence not only at Eatons, but his spiritual life as well. May the Lord comfort you with many wonderful memories. Memories are one gift of God that nothing can destroy.
