Obituary of Rick Wierenga

WIERENGA, Rick

It is with deep sadness that we have to say goodbye to our Rick, who passed away suddenly at his home, on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the age of 46. Rick will always be cherished by his loving wife Michele. He was a loving and devoted father to Mason and Mya. He will be deeply missed by his mother Auke and the late Lourens Wierenga, brother Bert, sisters Trudy (Harvey DeJong) and Elly Wierenga-Gilbert. Rick is survived by his brother-in-law Eric (Melissa), mother-in-law Deborah and by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rick was a long-time employee of Cogeco. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church, 290 Main St. E., Grimsby. In lieu of flowers, donations to a trust fund for Mason and Mya would be greatly appreciated.
