CAMPBELL, Douglas Lucas

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at Hamilton General Hospital on July 20, 2018 at the young age of 66. Adoring husband of Rose for 15 years. Cherished father of Stephanie (Andrew), Jennifer (Mike), Cory (Heather) and father figure to Vanessa (Michael), Jeffrey (Sharmaine), Justin, and MaryAnna. Proud grandfather to Katherine, Michael, Nathan, Adam, Lizzy, Lucas, Abby, Skai, and Lily. Predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Jean “Betty” Campbell. Doug was a proud Hamiltonian, a loyal Ti-cats supporter, and Dallas Cowboys super fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, as well as his colleagues from the Binbrook yard, where he worked as a snowplow operator for 31 years. He was also a firefighter with the City of Stoney Creek for 10 years. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, July 26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Graveside Service to follow on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Winona Fifty Cemetery.
