Obituary of George MacDonald

MacDONALD, George (Red)   

George passed away peacefully at the West Lincoln Memorial in Grimsby,  on Saturday, July 14, 2018, in his 89^th year. George was born January 17, 1930 at Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy (Dolly) of 58 years and daughter Deborah.  Loving father of nine children; Linda (Myles), Marilyn (Randy), Kenneth (Vera), Sandra (Bob), Catherine (Pierre), Gregory, Thomas (Sandra) and John. George loved all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He lived on Lakeview  Drive in Stoney Creek for about 60 plus years and was known by his neighbours as “The Candy Man”  He will be sadly missed but will continue to live in our hearts.  One thing that death cannot sever is the love that we have for each other.  Relatives and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, July 18^th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, July 19,  2018 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens, 735 Highway #8, Stoney Creek.  In George’s memory, donations to a charity close to your heart would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca
