Obituary of Wayne Maurice Childs

CHILDS, Wayne Maurice

July 24, 1940 – June 10, 2018

Peacefully on Sunday, Wayne passed away in his sleep.  Son of the late Maurice and Ethel Childs. Beloved husband and best friend of Judy for 56 years.  Loving dad of Cindy Childs (Sandy Coles), and David (Karen) Childs.  Cherished Grandpa of Kristen and Ryan Childs.  Dear brother of Glen and also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Wayne was District Chief of Winona Fire Department, was a Charter member of the Winona Men’s Club, lifelong member of Fifty United Church and member of Union Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M., Grimsby, Ontario. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. for Lodge Service followed by visitation from 4-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Fifty United Church, 1455 Highway #8, Winona, Ontario, at 11 a.m., on Friday June 15, 2018.
