Passed away peacefully, at Pine Villa Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in her 104th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, 13 brothers and sisters and her great-grandson Dale Millen. Beloved mother of Shirley and her husband Earl Millen. Cherished Granny of Chuck Millen (Denise), Lori Colwell (Rick), Great-Granny of Kyle Millen (Michelle), Tarah Millen, James Colwell, Kristy Leggat (Rob) and Great-Great-Granny of newly loved Jade Vera Millen. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Vera was dearly loved, and will be missed, by everyone who knew her. Special thank you to Dr. Robert Ambis for your devotion, kindness and attentive care, and to the staff of Pine Villa who always provided loving care and friendly conversation and compassion in her final days. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
