Dear Geoff and Scott. I just read in the paper about your dads passing. I wanted to offer my condolences to you both and to your family. Your mom and dad were very kind to me growing up....making sure that I got to my swimming lessons when my dad couldn’t get me there, they trusted me to look after there house while you were on vacation and the fun of looking after your dog Spooky when needed. They were always happy to say hi and ask how I was! I have very fond memories of your mom and dad. Thinking of you at this time. Debbie Murphy

Geoff, Scott and families. Very sorry to hear of your father's passing. i met your dad a number of times when you were both students at Saltfleet, and in fact, even ran into to him several times later. Earl was such a special member of our church family in Stoney Creek. Gracious, caring and genuine. Always eager to express his interest in our life journey. Our parents, Art and Betty, enjoyed socializing with Earl and valued his friendship. David valued the time spent with Earl serving on boards together. He was one of those Godly men that had mentoring influence. Blessings to your families.

Earl was such a nice, nice man. I always loved talking to him about trucking, busing and of course our love of dogs. He was such a strong witness in my life to God's grace and faithfulness. Not once did I ever hear Earl say an unkind word about anyone. Sam and I will miss him dearly. Go rest high on that mountain !

We have so many fond memories of our dear friend Earl over several decades. For many years Earl was active in the Stoney Creek Seniors Christian Coffee Hour in a leadership capacity. He was always ready to join in and enjoyed having fun with others at our weekly meetings. In every church he attended, Earl took an active role in its spiritual ministry. He was willing to serve in whatever capacity he was needed. Earl will surely be missed for his winning smile and friendly words of encouragement.
