McLEOD, Dorothy Viola

1921 – 2018

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by her five loving daughters, at her beach house on February 25, 2018 in her 98th year. Dorothy was the love of her late husband’s life, David (2013),  for over 70 years. She is predeceased by her infant daughter Cheryl Dianne and son-in-law Harold Jones. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Bobbie, Carole (Bill), Katie (Marinus), June (Scott), Susan (Bruce). Grandma will be missed by her 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Jean Murray. Dorothy lived a long life, alongside her husband, daughters and extended families. She was the “ultimate party girl”. A very special thank you to the many caregivers for their love and devotion to our mom. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Stoney Creek Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society or Stoney Creek United Church would be greatly appreciated.
