Went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in Hamilton on Friday, February 16, 2018.

Age 88 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband and partner of 65 years, James Conwell Shaw. Dear mother of Robert and his wife Sharon, Janet and her husband John Reynolds, Jonathan and his wife Brenda (deceased); Timothy and his wife Pamela. Loving grandmother of Les Reynolds, Jeff Shaw, Jennifer Taitt, Elena Haskell, Amanda Shaw, Conwell Reynolds, Adam Shaw, Stephen Shaw, Katherine Shaw, Jesse Reynolds, Jordan Shaw, Victoria Shaw, Laura Shaw, Katrina Shaw, Catherine McGeorge, Lydia McGeorge, Jeremy Shaw, Jason Shaw, and also Lovingly remembered by her 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Bernie Alm and Ethel Racinsky. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends along with her many colleagues and friends at Shaw Almex Industries. Doris’ life was marked by many accomplishments in the business world including the company she founded with her husband James, Shaw Almex Industries. However, her passion in life was for Jesus Christ.  This was evidenced by her participation in the Gideons, Child Evangelism and supporting missions in over 20 countries around the world. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Doris’s Life will be held at Crossroads Centre, 1295 North Service Rd., Burlington, on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Crossroads Communications of Burlington.
