Obituary of Raymond Clarence Coles

COLES, Raymond Clarence

Passed away suddenly, at his home, on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Janet for 47 years. Devoted father of Raymond Norman Jr. (Marivic Villegas). Cherished Poppy of Michael, Ryan, Lincoln, David, Owen and Emmett. Much loved brother of Marvin Coles (Eileen) of St. John’s,Newfoundland, Mac Coles (Anne) of Elliot Lake, the late Joan Chatman, the late Glenn Coles, Yvonne Smith (Jim) of Toronto, Tom Coles (Karen) of Brampton, Eleanor Coles of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Cyril and Floella. He will be remembered by his dear friends Clar and Edna Piercey of Cannings Cove, Newfoundland. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. Ray will be remembered for his love of going for walks, birds, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Ray was raised in Bloomfield, Newfoundland when he was younger, but settled in Ontario.  He was always proud of his Newfoundland home and roots.  Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 12 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
