This is a very sad day in my life to hear of Bob's passing Bob was an extra special friend in our life. Larry worked with Bob in the Fraud Department and I believe they were the happiest days in my husband's career. Each working day was filled with laughter and positive thoughts for both Larry and myself. I would eagerly await a visit from Max on The Third Floor which always made my day better
Rest in Peace my friend. Your memories will be in my heart forever

Dearest Kathleen and the Maxwell family and frends of Bob. Keith and I were very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We shared many great laughs with your dad years ago and remember the good times fondly.
He was a funny, articulate and kind man and impeccable dresser. Grant eternal rest unto him Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Keeping you close in prayers.

I can truly say that Max was a great friend
We shared alot of laughs and fun times.
Things won't be the same without Max being there especially our golfing escapades and the group (you know who you are) celebrating St. Patrick’s day at the Powerhouse
I’m going to miss you big time
My thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen and Nancy

Our sympathy to Bob's family. He indeed was a character. I was in Bob's classes at Glendale and later on he used to drop around our house when he was out and about in a police cruiser. Our prayers are with his immediate and extended family.

I had the good fortune to meet Bob through my good friend George Morasse during one of George's political campaigns. I was assigned the task of passing some flyers to Bob who was to distribute them in Georg's ward. My teen-aged children were a little alarmed when I received a call from the Police Department.
In chatting with Bob, I learned that he had arranged for an Honour Guard at the Cattel and Eaton Funeral Home when my Dad, Norman Campbell (Soupie), #182 of the Hamilton Police Department passed away in September, 2004. Our family sincerely appreciated his kindness and compassion at that time.
My heartfelt condolences to Bob's family...he was a true gentleman and I know that you will all miss him deeply.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. When we think of Bob we remember his mischievous smile and his commitment to the Hamilton Police Service Honour Guard; a unit that has brought much pride and class to our organization. Bob always took the time to speak with everyone and it usually ended in laughter, a very important necessity of life. Rest well and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I came to work for Hamilton at the old Stoney Creek Station in February of 1979. The police department made a mistake in having Bob as my training officer for a few months that year as he taught me that most elusive of qualities - how to have fun and maintain one's sanity while doing your job at the same time. Thanks to Bob, I had more fun and laughs that year than any person had a right to have. It's been a blast Bob - thanks for the many good memories.

Dear Maxwell Family:
Please accept my sincerest condolences in the repose of your loved one, Robert. I was a student at Glendale High School & we were classmates in Grade 9. He was very well liked by everyone; I'll never forget his sense of humour & hilarious antics in class. Although he is gone at such a young age, you can see that his legacy lives on.
May God bless all of you; may Bob rest in peace & his memory be eternal.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with him for many years. After I retired and moved out to B.C., we stayed in contact via Facebook. I have only been able to return to Hamilton every couple of years, to visit, but every time I did, Bob was able to meet me for a beer or two, and the fun times started! I was planning on coming back to Hamilton this July, and again planned to meet up with Bob for a pint or two.....instead, I'll have to settle for having one in his honour. He was a great man, and I know he will be missed by many.
