May the family and friends accept my sincerest sympathy for your loss of such a highly regarded man. I worked with Jim while at Siemens-Westinghouse and spoke with him nearly every day for over 26 years. He always had something comical to contribute to factory life. A quiet man who never said much, yet in a few words could summarize the most complex of situations. I am glad to have had the opportunity to work with Jim Shields and share a few stories over the years. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Jim. My husband Allan and I worked at Siemens-Westinghouse until they closed in 2011. I lost my husband last February to pancreatic cancer just 1 month short of his 65th birthday. Too many lives cut short before their time and unable to enjoy their hard earned retirement years. May you have the strength to carry on and remember Jim in the small things of everyday life and nature, a great healer.
