Obituary of Jo Verboom

VERBOOM, Jo Passed away peacefully on January 5, 2016 with his family by his side, in the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Jo was born in The Netherlands on July 27, 1941 and immigrated to Canada at the age of 16. He was hard working, dedicated and worked for many years at Dofasco as a heavy equipment mechanic and in the towing industry. Jo is survived by his three daughters; Marian (Ron) Bolhaar, Sheri (Emilio) Violin, Jody (Darren) Penney and his 8 grandchildren. He came from a family of 13 children, brothers Leen, Cees, Jaap, Huig, Arie, (predeceased) and survived by his sisters Truus, Adrie, Riet, Annie in The Netherlands. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek.
