Obituary of The Venerable Robert Hamilton Leckey

Peacefully, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, on March 10, 2015, in his 74th year, after living with cancer for many years. Beloved husband of 48 years to Catherine. Loving brother of Judith Mills (Douglas Peters), father of Amelia (Mark Bailey) and Robert (José Navas), and grandfather of Corbin, Parker, and Paige Bailey. During 40 years of ordained ministry, Bob served parishes in the Anglican Dioceses of Toronto and of Niagara. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Tuesday, March 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 160 William Street in Oakville, on Wednesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. with visitation immediately prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund of the Anglican Church of Canada, and the Aboriginal Scholarship Fund at St. Jude’s Anglican Church.
