Dear Velma, Yesterday I made my mother, Olga Ramsden, aware of the passing of your husband. My mother is gravely ill but I'm sure she would want you to know with this condolence message that she was very saddened to hear this. I know that you and my mother were very good friends from the time you both worked at the bank together. My mother mentioned that it was you who invited her to Winona Gospel Church's Young People's to play volleyball. There, she met my father, as she explained to me. She said you were a very dear friend and she realized Gene had been ill for a long time. I do remember your family from church also, though Jim and Heather were quite young. On behalf of my mother and myself we express sincere sympathy to your family and hope you are comforted by the assurance that Gene is now with God. Carol (Ramsden) Deckert
