Gayle and Wilf gave me my first job. It was wonderful working there and learning responsibility and hard work. I could hardly complain about working long days when their days were longer. They helped shape my values and character. They are always on my mind. Such a loss of good people.

Dear Gayle, so many memories as you, Wilf and your parents helped me to raise all those kids. And when my dad died so suddenly, it was your floral tribute that we received first. I remember when my Gina was about 3 she snuck out to Gold Door in her pygamas and was brought home by Donnie McLoud to my amazement. Didn't know she was missing. And now she is at heaven's door with her big smile waiting for Wilf and he will have to listen to all her stories about fun with Louanne Levesque and the San Remo pizza boys. We thank God for our Gailmont community and the wonderful human beings that came from there. And it was because of the kindness and "patience" that was shown to them by you, Wilf and your parents I think every day. And I know you miss your mom as much as I do mine. God bless you in the days to come. A lot of people love you with all their hearts. Sincerely Carol xxxxxxx

So very sorry to hear of Wilf's passing. When I grew up on Gailmont Wilf, Howard and Gayle we're just as much of my family as my parents were and I will always be thankful for their sense of humour and guidance always. Just so you know Wilf you had the best selection of candy in all of Hamilton i know because I'm still looking for a store with even half the selection. Be at rest my old friend. Mike Heacock

Gayle, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. Growing up in the neighbourhood of Gold Door, I will always remember Wilf's smile and his hearty greeting each time any member of our family entered the store. Due to the fact that my Dad and he had the same first name, he resorted to calling he and the rest of us by our surname...... No matter which one of us it was that entered the store, the greeting was always......... "Hello Tidy, how are ya and what can I help you with today" . God Bless and may Wilf rest in peace.

I have worked with Wilf for the last 12 years & am going to forever miss his smiling face greeting us every morning as we stared our day...he would joke & tease & always have a great comeback. The customer's loved him & with good reason...he was kind helpful & thoughtful & would always go above & beyond to help a customer or make sure they had their medication. He was more than a fellow employee to all of us at Parkdale..he was a friend we have known for almost 20 years. My thoughts are with Gail at this difficult time..Wilf was a truly lovely human being...may he rest in peace.

Gail and family, our deepest condolences. I met yourself and Wilf as a child, my grandfather would walk me to the gold door variety and showered me with a bag of penny candy. I remember his smile and warm welcome each and every time we visited. God bless you and your family.
