Obituary of Alice Jean Ainsworth

AINSWORTH, Alice Jean Unexpectedly but peacefully Alice passed away at the Henderson Hospital on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in her 77th year. Predeceased by her sister Kay and brother-in-law Ted Hine, and brother Jack Ainsworth. Survived by cousins Agnes Morrison and Thomas Ainsworth, nieces Jocelyn Hodkin (Joe), Janet Lockhart (Randy), Joanne Grahn (Kevin) and nephew Kevin Hine (Joanne). Alice was “The Great Aunt” to 12 great-nieces and nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. She was a retired Hamilton Elementary teacher and was very involved for many years with Hamilton and Area Girl Guides and Camp Kiawa. She was also a strong supporter of the Hamilton Community Foundation. Alice was an avid gardener and a passionate environmentalist. Thank you to the very supportive Hamilton CCAC personal case workers. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family celebration of Alice’s life. In Alice’s memory, donations to the MS Society would be greatly appreciated.
