Obituary of Lois Loreen Brewer

BREWER, Lois Loreen (Nee Murphy) Peacefully surrounded by her family, Lois passed away April 20, 2009 after a short battle with cancer, at 76 years of age at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Cherished wife of Bill for 57 years, adored mother of daughters Leslee (Ed Gullett), Peggy (Rick Ferguson) and son Bill (Sharlene). Loving grandmother of Shannon, Jason and Samantha. Sister to Stan (the late Jean), Leslie (Lois), Enid (Barry), Earl, and sister-in-law of June Hall. Predeceased by father Aurie, mother Edith, step-father Bert and brother Gord. Remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many valued friends and neighbours. Lois most recently volunteered at the Hamilton Airport, worked at Sears Canada, Peninsula Air Service and a proud member of the Lois Club. Lois was a member of the Mount Hope United Church and sang in the choir for 40 years. Lois was a loving, energetic and a good friend who shared her life with many. Visitation at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Service at Mount Hope United Church on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations in Lois’s memory can be made to the Mount Hope United Church choir, or the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Special thanks to all the staff of Dr. Bob Kemp’s Hospice and Dr. K. Selwyn and her staff.
