Obituary of Dorothy Whitaker

WHITAKER, Dorothy Peacefully at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Sunday, September 15, 2013 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Peter. Loved mother of Bev (James), Rick (Melanie) and Nikki (Darren). Loving Nanny of Sarah, Samantha, Tori, Olivia, Sophia, Taylor, Ben and Emma. She will be missed by her canine companion Billy. Survived by her sisters Shirley (Tony) and June. Predeceased by her brother Allen. She will also be remembered by her dear friend Joyce Mellor and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at the Juravinski Hospital Ward C3 and also Marian and Minti for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. In Dorothy’s memory, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be appreciated.
