Obituary of Douglas Scott Warwick

WARWICK, Douglas Scott Doug's family are saddened to announce his passing with courage and deep faith at the Henderson Hospital on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Loving husband and best friend of Margaret. Much loved brother of Helen Kindree (Ross Tarlton) of Caistor Centre and Lindsay Sleightholm (Elgin) of St. Thomas. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Megan (Jeff) and Matthew Kindree, Andy (Ellyn) and great nephew Keaton and Scott Sleightholm and Margo (the late Michael Kindree) and great-niece Mattice. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Edythe Warwick. Doug retired from the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board after many dedicated and fulfilling years in the classroom. He was a gentle man loving all creatures great and small. All who knew him will miss his sense of humour and the twinkle in his eyes. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12 noon. A Private Family Interment will follow at Caistorville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
