Mr Warwick was a great teacher who taught us all so much. He was such a nice man who gave so much but expected nothing in return. My condolences to the family.

Doug was an institution at Memorial! This is proved by the many families, students and colleagues who have taken time to comment on the sadness of his passing. Doug left a little bit of himself with each one. I worked with Doug at Memorial in his latter years of teaching. He had a keen mind and a keen wit, yet we saw daily his kindness and gentleness of spirit too. Margaret, he was so faithful in making his daily phone call to see if you needed anything and check how your day was going. He was "old school" in his determination to do his best daily and get the best out of each student, sometimes with a burst of down home reality that had to be faced. Doug, we'll miss you, but thank you for being a part of our lives and good memories. As a teacher what more can one ask for than to be remembered as a building block in a young person's life?

It was with great sadness that I learned about Doug's passing. Margaret please accept my condolensces. He was such an amazing person and teacher. Doug and I worked together for 6 years when I first started. He was a wonderful mentor and colleague.
I also had the privilege of working with Doug in his last 3 years as a teacher at Memorial. He hadn't changed and was still the kinds, caring man I knew. He loved working with the students and had a close bond with the staff. I will miss his sense of humour and hearing his stories. He is truly missed.

I was lucky to have been in Mr. Warwick's grade 6 class. Among many others, I will GREATLY miss him. His sense of humor and great attitude were a breath of fresh air. One of the best teachers in Memorial. My brother Thomas Rear also had Mr. Warwick as a teacher, whom was his favorite as well. He will be remembered ALWAYS in our hearts and my condolences go out to his family, which I am positive are just as wonderful. He will always be remembered, loved and missed. Thank you for being so wonderful. xoxo

We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Warwick's passing. Our sympathy goes out to his wife and family. Mr Warwick taught both our sons, who enjoyed him very much as a teacher. He always had a sense of humour, I was a volunteer at the school who helped with the luncheons. One of the favorite luncheons was hot dog day and Mr. Warwick always referred to us women as the weeny women. We will always remember him.

I am so sorry to hear about Doug's passing. During my time at Memorial, I got to know Doug through lunchtime chats and late evening report card writing. He was a friendly, humourous and kind-natured man who was not afraid to say what he thought. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I worked with him at Memorial School. He always made me laugh with his jokes and I appreciated how he called me "kid" even though I am approaching my 40's. After he retired he came in and volunteered for me in the library. He was a tremendous support. He volunteered at every book fair as well. He did so much work, from selling the books to counting the money, but I think what he enjoyed most was touching base with the Memorial community. Many former students and parents stopped by to see him at the book fairs.
He always talked about Margaret. It was clear he adored her.
Doug's passing is such a loss. He will be missed by all who worked with him at Memorial School.
