Dear Carolyn,
My love and sympathy are with you, with the death of your oma. She was a strong woman, and lived a long life! Please give my condolences to your family, especially to your Mom, and to Rudy.
I remember first meeting her, and your opa, at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Fruitland, in 1956. We had arrived from The Netherlands in August 1956. Your oma and opa took our whole family "op de koffee", to their home, after church.
Her name was Jennij....I don't remember that....was her Dutch name different?
It has been a very long time since I last saw her, at your parents wedding, I think. I know that she was a great support and comfort to your mom, especially during the difficult times.
