Obituary of Jacob Bottinga

BOTTINGA, Jacob (1929-2012) Peacefully with his family at his side, the Lord called Jake home. Predeceased by his wife Grace, his daughter Liz and his son Alex. Loving father of Jean and Cliff, Jack and Kim, Stan. Cherished Pake of Alex and Beth, Michael and Mandy, Alicia, Ryan and Jackie, Kristina, Juliana. Aude- Pake of Taylor and Jacob. Loving friend of Phyllis and her family. Dad immigrated to Canada in 1951 from Holland to Essex, Ontario. He worked on the Shuel family farm and Ford Motor Co. He eventually settled in Binbrook and established “Binbrook Builders” in 1960. Dad built the family cottage in Parry Sound where he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Jurianz, Ed, Suzanne, Don and Selina. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private graveside service will be held. An open celebration of Jake’s life will be held at Mount Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, 1411 Upper Wellington in Hamilton on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca
