Obituary of Rose Barbara Sorrell

SORRELL, Rose Barbara (Buscilla) February 7, 1914 - January 19, 2012 After living a rich and rewarding life, Rose has left us to join the love of her life Michael (1996). Rose was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Ann Miller, John, Joe and Frank Walneck, George and Nick Buscilla and Helen (Buscilla) Husack/Salter. She was a very special aunt to her many nieces and nephews; Frank Husack (deceased), Douglas Husack (deceased), Loretta Dimen, Joan Patterson, Doug Buscilla, Ted Buscilla, Joyce Laine, Raymond Walneck (deceased) Edward, Rudy and Marnie Walneck of the U.S.A. Rose was a long time employee of Sears at the Centre Mall, a Member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and C.W.L. for over 50 years. She took great pride in everything she did, whether it was her beautiful gardens, home, cooking and was a gracious hostess. She touched many people with her caring and generosity. The family thanks the staff of the Clarion Long Term Care Home for their thoughtful, loving care. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (934 Highway 8 at Glover's Rd., Stoney Creek) at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 23rd. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Ed Mahony at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Donald V. Brown, Stoney Creek.
