From: My most fond memory of Uncle Gord would have to be when he would get dressed up like Santa every year for Christmas for the kids. He always cared so much about putting a smile on the kids faces. He will be missed by everyone. Love Chris.

Such fond memories of Gord and the Caledonia Clipper days from so many years ago - always the GentleMan - kind, happy and loving to all his friends both old and young alike! Amazing gifted Ballplayer - (my Dad "Casey's" favourite) and amazing gifted Human Being - beloved by all!
Blessings to you and your family Linda - may you find comfort in all the happy memories you share of this very special man.
Love,
Lorne & Liz Hubber

We lost a dear friend today (Gord Mudie). Linda and Gord have been like second parents to Amanda for almost 19 years. Amanda used to go to their house almost every weekend. Gord was like a second father to Amanda taking her to many community baseball games when he was playing or umpiring as well as to church every Sunday. Gord and Linda are a special couple who loved and cared for many children over the years with terminal illnesses like Amanda has. The cancer was growing faster than they could control and Gord knew his days were limited. At our last visit Tammy and I took Amanda to see Gord one last time. He talked about all the good times they had together and that he was not afraid to leave this life to meet God and see the other children they had cared for who had passed on years before. It also gave us an opportunity to thank him for being a part of Amanda’s life and our family. He will be missed by all especially Amanda. Thank you Gord you were a very special person.

Dad it's just not the same without you here. You were an amazing father who went above and beyond the job. You will be missed so much but always remembered for
being the best at everything you did. From baseball, to the lawns, from husband to father to friend. You were always there when I needed you most and I was truely honored to be there for you. Soar free dad, until we meet again remember "there's no crying in baseball"
