My sympathies to you and your family. How ironic it was that Roy passed away on the first anniversary of Don's death. I believe there are no coincidences in life! God and Don were both calling him home! I'll bet they are having happy hour in heaven right now!
There is no way to prepare for the loss of a husband. I found that time alone reflecting and in prayer helped me tremendously. Each day gets a little easier, although I have never stopped missing him.
My prayer for you is for strength from your wonderful memories! God Bless you! I'll never forget Roy's dry sense of humor and can still hear him calling Don "The Ancient Mariner".
