Obituary of Florence Mary McKeil

McKEIL, Florence Mary (nee MacDonald) Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Born July 30, 1938, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 after a brief illness. Florence was predeceased by her husband Evans Baird McKeil (October 20, 2002) and son Blain William McKeil (September 18, 1980). She is survived by 4 of her 5 children; Blair McKeil, Beverly Keyes, Sharon MacKenzie, Garth McKeil, and to her great joy - 10 grandchildren. In truth, her legacy is greater than the sum of her offspring and extended family. She loved and was loved by all with whom she came in contact. As with her husband, Florence s wishes were to have a small private service for immediate family only. But never wanting to miss an opportunity to have a party, she asked that a celebration for friends and family be held at a later date. The family is planning to respect this wish in the coming summer. In lieu of flowers, should anyone wish to, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
